I know that the boards still aren’t working, so here’s a few things that popped up today…
Rollingstone’s review of Coachella’s second day included the following (cute) Sarah mention:
As though Creep had taken too much out of him, Prince slipped offstage long enough for one of his backup singers to perform a stirring version of Sarah McLachlan’s “In the Arms of an Angel” that left some attendees teary-eyed.
Too bad not even a music editor can get the name of the song right.
And if you’re interested, I also added a review of Rarities 2 to our articles archive here.
I’m really sorry but I just can’t get the boards to work right now. I need some more time but hopefully they’ll be back online today, please be patient
Commenter .k. just found the following confirmation on the upcoming FTE re-release:
“Fumbling Towards Ecstasy: Legacy Edition [CD/DVD]” (2 CDs, with a live DVD companion to the 1993 album; disc 3 features the 1995’s “The Freedom Sessions”)
(Columbia/Legacy, Aug. 5, 2008)

And again, I’m most excited about the new packaging the album will get, we’ll see about the rest. Now I wonder why Nettwerk (or Legacy in this case, who sold them the rights?) is pushing all these Sarah compliations, re-releases, etc. this year. In my opionion, this can only mean two things: a) Sarah will release a new album in the fall or 2009 and they need a PR push before that or b) she doesn’t want to release a new album and they’re trying to make as much money off her as long as people still remember her….
Oh how I love our message board. Today, forum member Matt posted the following:
Fumbling Re-release – Aug 5
I know some one who works at a radio station and this was listed on their call sheet (i think thats what he called it) this morning. Its going to be 2 cds and a dvd. No other info at this time though
Its probably just fte, freedom sessions and the fte live packed into one great cash-n, I mean package.

If this is true, well… weeee! I’m not really one for re-releases (though, as another member pointed out, there’s nothing wrong with digital remastering, depending on the album it can be quite exciting), this makes a lot more sense than the Mirrorball re-release or even Rarities 2.
And to quote even more of our board members, Miguel pointed out that all the re-releasing, Greatest Hits, etc. might just be because of Sarah’s contract ending.
