FTE re-release and site updates

First off is official confirmation of the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy re-release. Legacy recordings (which also releases Mirrorball: The Complete Concert) issued a press release and here’s the most important paragraph:

[...]The trajectory of Sarah McLachlan’s broad popular success outside Canada began with the late-1993 release of her third album, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, [...] Fumbling Towards Ecstasy – The Home Video [...]. The momentum carried over to a third project in early 1995, The Freedom Sessions [...]
Now, FUMBLING TOWARDS ECSTASY: LEGACY EDITION brings these three releases together into one 2-CD+DVD package for the first time, with bonus material on each disc that makes it a must-have for true McLachlan fans. Fifteen years after the first recordings that began this arc, the deluxe three-disc edition will arrive in stores August 5th on Arista/Legacy.

Now we can only wonder what the “bonus material” will be… But calling it a “must-have” surely makes me think that it could be something that really makes it worth buying (unlike, let’s say, Rarities 2?).

In other site news, I just added a section to the site that has been about 1 1/2 years in the making. It could’ve just taken a couple of months too as board administrator K finished the project quickly (long live K!) but since this was part of a huge to-do list for the site and because I’m a bloody lazy admin, it took me quite a long time as you can see to include it in the site (yes, I do deserve punishment for that).

So here it is, a year-by-year retrospective of Sarah’s involvement in charitable causes.

It may need some tweaking here and there and I’ll try and add 2007 as soon as possible but it’s already worth taking a look at (and then resting quietly in awe because Sarah has managed to pile up a pretty long list of charity work).

Have a nice one and check back next week for some new Sarah rarities from Jeff!
